Know before you go
If you are a foreign national and plan on traveling to Azerbaijan for tourism, business, or other reasons, you will need a visa to enter the country. Azerbaijan has visa requirements in place for most foreign visitors, apart from those from countries that have established visa exemption agreements with Azerbaijan.
E-Visa
Azerbaijan implemented electronic visas for citizens of specific countries in January 2017. This convenient system, known as ASAN Visa, allows for the issuance of single-entry visas valid for up to 30 days. Visitors should obtain an electronic visa by applying online, and upon approval, it should be printed and presented along with a valid passport (which must have a validity of at least three months beyond the visa’s expiry date) at the designated border checkpoint.
There are two options for e-visa applications: the standard application and the urgent application, which is processed faster than the normal application but paying an extra fee.
With this visa, you can:
Stay in Azerbaijan for up to 30 days at a time. It is possible to extend your visa once you arrive to Azerbaijan.
Enjoy a holidays, visit your family or friends or cruise, or attend a cultural event.
Conduct business activities such as making enquiries, negotiating contracts, attending conferences or seminars.
Study or train for up to 30 days in total.
To be eligible for this visa, you must:
Have a valid passport: The passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of entry into Azerbaijan.

Citizens of the following countries can enter to Azerbaijan without a visa up to 90 days:
Belarus
Georgia
Iran (15 days, only valid within Nakhchivan)
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Moldova
Qatar (30 days)

COVID-19 Requirements
You do not need to show a COVID vaccination certificate or negative COVID test to enter Azerbaijan.
Entry requirements for Azerbaijan are the same for all travellers, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
